Photo verification and optional AI companion notices updated: 22 October 2026
Live camera verification and automated face matching are currently disabled. Workfry does not request a live camera check during registration or account access. Your uploaded profile photo remains in private account storage under the existing access rules. Contact info@workfry.com for questions about previous verification records or deletion requests.
A unique email and mobile number are required for each account, including Google registrations. Private identifier reservations prevent duplicate accounts and repeated reward claims. Reservations remain blocked after an account is removed until support reviews and releases them; contact support if you have a reassigned number or need help restoring access. Mobile-format and uniqueness checks alone do not prove ownership of a phone number.
The flying voice companion has been removed from the Workfry website. New companion conversations, voice sessions and AI research requests are disabled. Previously saved preferences or memories are not automatically deleted by this change. Signed-in users can disable AI and delete saved memories, or contact info@workfry.com for help.
The cookie preferences panel includes separate choices for Workfry reminders about completing your profile, posting a requirement and buying application credits. Each channel is optional and starts unchecked. Accepting cookies does not subscribe you. Sign in and save your communication choices to associate consent with your account. We record your choices, the contact details they apply to, the notice version, source and time. You can change or withdraw these choices in Dashboard → Notifications. Reminder frequency is up to two per month per channel. Service emails about your account and activity have separate notification settings.
SMS sending is available only after service activation in supported destinations and verification of your saved mobile number. Twilio processes the number, message and delivery information to deliver texts. Notification texts contain brief activity notices and links to your dashboard, without private conversation contents. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts; replying START permits you to choose subscriptions again but does not automatically restore them. Optional emails include an unsubscribe link when reminder campaigns are activated. Consent is not a condition of purchase or marketplace access.
WhatsApp verification uses a short-lived code to confirm control of your number in supported countries. Requesting or confirming this code does not subscribe you to updates or marketing. Separate WhatsApp choices cover account and message updates, matching projects, requirement reminders and credit offers. Twilio and Meta process your number, template message and delivery information. Matching-project alerts are limited to one per day; reminders and offers are limited to two per month. Send STOP to the Workfry WhatsApp sender to opt out, or change your choices in Notifications. START allows you to choose again without automatically resubscribing. Google Analytics 4 starts automatically on public and signed-in website pages, before any cookie-panel interaction. It uses first-party analytics cookies to measure visits, sessions, page views and real foreground engagement. Google Analytics remains on when you skip optional cookies; Cookie Preferences controls extra analytics and advertising separately. Signed-in URLs and titles are reduced to general account paths. Workfry does not send proposal IDs, account IDs, contact details, form contents, passwords or messages in these measurements. Admin activity is excluded. Google advertising storage, advertising user data, Google signals and advertising personalization remain disabled. You can restrict Google Analytics through your browser's cookie and tracking controls.
If you allow Advertising preferences in Cookie Preferences, Meta Pixel measures visits to public website pages to help assess advertising. Meta may receive technical browser data and use advertising cookies. WorkFry sends only approved public page groups and excludes account, authentication, payment, admin, individual project and expert profile pages. We do not supply contact information for advanced matching or send messages, private identifiers, form contents, URL queries or fragments. Pixel automatic configuration is disabled. Turning Advertising preferences off stops the integration and removes its first-party cookies on WorkFry. You can reopen Cookie Preferences from the website footer.
When you allow Extra analytics in Cookie Preferences, Ahrefs receives public-page views to measure website traffic. We omit URL query strings and fragments and exclude account, authentication, payment and admin pages. This integration does not send form contents or application link-click events. Turning Extra analytics off stops this integration.
With Extra analytics enabled, WorkFry associates signed-in visits with the verified account user ID for authorised administrator analytics. Private workspace presence uses a general dashboard path; message text, form contents and individual dashboard record URLs are excluded. A keyed network fingerprint can suggest accounts seen on the same IP address within 30 days. This is a possible association, not proof of identity. These analytics do not store raw IP addresses. Presence older than 24 hours and network associations older than 30 days are removed by the next hourly traffic-triggered cleanup. User-ID associations are cleared from events older than 30 days; the underlying anonymous activity records are retained. You can turn this additional activity measurement off through Cookie Preferences.
Workfry operates under a strict privacy-first principle termed Progressive Identity Disclosure. Public marketplace visitors and applicants evaluate professional track records, trust scores, and portfolios solely under protected Workfry Public IDs (e.g. WF-10482, CL-10024) and professional aliases.
Personal legal names, personal emails, direct phone numbers, and physical billing addresses are isolated in encrypted database partitions protected by PostgreSQL Row Level Security (RLS) and are not exposed during public discovery. Only the participants in an eligible proposal can access the contact card described below.
Government-issued identification (such as national identity cards, passports, PAN) and corporate certificates (such as GSTIN) submitted for credibility badges are stored in private, encrypted cloud storage buckets (`kyc-private`). These documents are used solely for compliance audits and are never accessible to other platform users.
The Client and Expert linked to a proposal can see each other’s saved contact name, email, phone, company and general location once the Expert consumes an application credit for that proposal, or the Client opens or accepts it. Viewing a proposal records that review. Contact access remains unavailable to unrelated users, withdrawn or declined proposals, inactive accounts and revoked relationships. Profile access and project chat retain their separate acceptance requirements. Payment details, billing addresses and identity documents are not included in contact cards.
Optional voice and video consultation sessions booked on Workfry are conducted within secure, isolated platform sessions. Raw personal telephone numbers and personal communication credentials are never shared.
The flying AI companion replaces the previous floating chat widgets. For account-specific support, use the Contact page. The companion cannot resolve payments, access private account records or perform actions on your behalf. Do not share passwords, payment details or confidential project files in voice conversations.
Users retain full rights to update their profiles, request copies of their transactional history, or initiate account closure. In accordance with regional commercial regulations, financial milestone audit logs are retained securely for statutory accounting compliance.
